Sarah & Craig

REDHOUSE CYMRU

Redhouse Cymru Wedding Merthyr

You just never know what the weather can be like in the UK when you get married, even in the summer months. One thing that you can be sure of in December and that is rain.

Last weekend I was at the Redhouse in Merthyr to capture the wedding of Sarah and Craig and guess what, yep it rained and on occasions it was like like a gale with strong winds and lashing down.

Never to be put off by the weather, I always say to couples to go with it and don’t let it spoil your day and in fairness Sarah and Craig did just that.

I got pretty wet when i first arrived although this wasn’t to put me off.It wasn’t long before Craig arrived followed shortly after by the guests. The rain had soon eased off but by the time the bridesmaids and Sarah arrived, you guessed it, it started again.

Sarah’s nerves started to get the better of her before going into the ceremony room and it took a few comforting words from her daughter to keep her calm and relaxed. After the ceremony we did a few photos of the bridal party and family indoors and a few portraits for the newly married couple before heading to Merthyr RFC.

Shooting a wedding this time of year I knew I had to put my thinking cap on to come up with ideas, and locations to do these.

Sarah and Craig were stars. We headed off in the car to go to two different locations, it was cold and wet but they went with it and i am so glad they did.

Once the music came on for the evening the dance floor was constantly full with everyone clearly having a brilliant evening.

Congratulations both, have a brilliant Xmas and best wishes to you both.
