Bryngarw House | Wedding | Photography | South Wales

Yesterday, I was at the gorgeous venue of Bryngarw House for the wedding of Megan and Andy. It’s felt a long time coming and finally after the many restrictions over the past 18 months and it was also the day that Wales moved into alert level zero. This also meant that the evening part of the day was now relaxed with singing and dancing now back on.

Typical British weather was with us for the day and the morning was consistent and at times heavy rain. Not ideal for a wedding but there was hope for the latter part of the day. In traditional morning fashion, the girls were relaxed, having their hair and makeup done whilst drinking champagne, as you do, whilst the guys who arrived with Andy around 11 am to Bryngarw, were relaxed in the groom’s room with a few cold bottles of larger.

From a photographer’s point of view, Megan and Andy were brilliant right from the start. They had all trust in us capturing the day in the way that we do and creating cool images for them later in the evening.

Megan wanted blue skies and although I know how to use a camera, getting some blue skies was not my forte. However, after a bit of effort, Jonathan (second photographer) somehow managed to get a bit, to the delight of Megan, I also took a photo because it wasn’t going to last :( Yep, the rain was coming back which meant we were cut short of some of our photos outside but came up with some other ideas indoors.

Bryngarw is an ideal venue as it has plenty of areas within the venue for photos, even group / family photos. The staff were superb yesterday (as always) The day was managed by Sasha who kept everything running to plan and making sure everyone was having a good time.

After what was a long and tiring day, which I certainly felt the effects the following day (today) I have put together a few highlights for Megan and Andy and also for others who couldn’t make it to the wedding to have an insight of the day.

Thanks to Jonathan from Cross-Jones Photography for working alongside me capturing great images as always.
